A. KONSEP GERAK Benda dapat dikatakan bergerak apabila mengalami perubahan posisi dari suatu titik acuan. Benda yang bergerak akan melalui suatu lintasan tertentu. Lintasan dapat berupa lintasan yang lurus, melingkar atau parabola, ataupun tidak beraturan. 1. JARAK DAN PERPINDAHAN Untuk memahami perbedaan jarak dan perpindahan, pahami ilustrasi berikut! Jarak rumah siswa dan sekolah adalah 2,5 km. Jika siswa pergi dan pulang sekolah maka jarak yang ditempuhnya adalah 5 km.  Akan tetapi perpindahan siswa adalah 0 karena tidak ada selisih posisi awal dan akhir tidak ada. Sehingga: a.  Jarak   adalah panjang lintasan yang ditempuh oleh benda. b.  Perpindahan  adalah selisih jarak lurus antara posisi awal dengan posisi akhir. 2. KELAJUAN, KECEPATAN, DAN PERCEPATAN a. Kelajuan adalah kemampuan suatu benda bergerak dalam menempuh jarak tertentu pada setiap satuan waktu. Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mother and two step sisters. The step mother and sisters were so unkind to Cinderella. They treated Cinderella very badly. Cinderella had to do the hardest household chores; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot and pan and preparing the food for the family.
